This recording is devoted to two major American composers of the 20th century: George Rochberg and Ezra Laderman. It features George Rochberg’s five movement violin concerto together with his solo piece: Caprice Variations on the theme of Paganini. Also included is Ezra Laderman’s early violin sonata. As a bonus selection, I end with Caprice for Violin Solo by Bulgarian composer Petar Hristostokov.
